  8. Fossil support has been added to this game. The game will automatically detect
  9. the fossil and use it without intervention. If a problem is encountered then
  10. the game will then try to use normal COM PORT addressing which it reads from
  11. the configuration file. This fossil detection may also be turned completely
  12. off by using FOSSILOFF as the last parameter on the command line when executing
  13. the door (ie. HOT-DICE.EXE HOT-DICE.CFG FOSSILOFF)

  15. One situation I have encountered is with D'Bridge Front End Mailer. It has a
  16. built in Fossil which is recognized but unable to be accessed. I have found
  17. that the fossil returns an error #1024 in this situation. If this occures
  18. the door will fall back to non-fossil and will use the standard com ports as
  19. found in the games configuration file.

  21. I have found that you may, even when using D'Bridge, also install a fossil
  22. from your CONFIG.SYS file. The door will then be able to access and use this
  23. fossil correctly.

  25. If you encounter any problems please report them using one of the means
  26. listed in the Hot-Dice Documention file.

  28. DIGIFOSSIL
  29. If you are using the DigiFossil with your Digiboard I have found that by 
  30. putting the FOSSILOFF command as shown above that it will work.  Although
  31. I do not use a Digiboard I have gotten several systems to work this way.
